The promotion of Decent Work features prominently in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted at the UN Summit on Sustainable Development held in New York in September 2015.
Explicitly linked to goal 8 of the SDGs, the promotion of Decent Work is also implicitly referenced under many targets linked to the other sixteen goals. The training activities of the Centre aim to strengthen the capacity of ILO constituents and other relevant stakeholders to analyse the link between Decent Work and Sustainable Development and to formulate and implement strategies and approaches to make Decent Work for All a reality.

The ITCILO further strengthens its collaboration with the V.V. GIRI National Institute of India
The Centre has just renewed its Memorandum of Understanding with the V.V. GIRI National Institute of India for a further five years. The previous MoU was signed in 2012. The Institute is an autonomous body of the Ministry of Labour and Employment of the Government of India, set up in July 1974 as a leading centre of Labour Research, Training and Education. Read More
