This training event is taking place in Rabat, Morocco, from 11 to 14 March 2019
In the context of the SURE project (Supporting the social and professional reintegration of North African return migrants), and in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour of Morocco, the ITCILO is currently holding a four-day workshop in Rabat entitled “Mainstreaming Labour Migration into Active Labour Market Policies in Morocco”.
This workshop is designed for public institutions in Morocco with a mandate relating to labour migration, in particular the Ministry of Labour and Professional Integration, the Ministry for Moroccans Residing Abroad and for Migration Affairs, the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills (ANAPEC), Entraide Nationale, the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad, and the Office for Vocational Training and Employment Promotion (OFPPT).
The course brings these important stakeholders together with the objective of strengthening their capacities for mainstreaming labour migration into employment and vocational training policies, while taking into account the specific challenges faced by women migrants throughout the migration cycle. More specifically, the course aims to enhance the capacity of participants to identify possibilities for integrating migration into active labour market policies in Morocco, develop policy-coherence indicators at different stages of the policy life cycle and at different levels of governance, and identify the main areas of convergence between migration and employment and vocational training policies.
