A workshop entitled "Implementation of Methodology for Assessing Procurement Systems (MAPS)", organized by the World Bank, is taking place on campus from 11 to 15 March 2019.
The main objective of this workshop is to provide a core team of 45 participants with the practical skills necessary to recognize global challenges and to establish a good understanding of MAPS in support of country-led reforms in public procurement.
Participating organizations include the World Bank Group, the African Development Bank (AfDB), the Government of the Philippines, the Asian Development Bank and Global Affairs Canada, which operates in 26 different countries.
MAPS is an ambitious, universal tool that can be used by all countries, regardless of income level or development status. The MAPS tool can be utilized to evaluate how well public procurement systems work and to implement modern, efficient, sustainable and more inclusive public procurement systems, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
In hosting this important event, the ITCILO is confirming its fruitful partnership with many relevant international actors, all involved in bringing forward sustainable development.
