In a world where AI is reshaping industries, organizations don’t just need ideas—they need solutions. The AI Forum is not a traditional learning event or a space for debate. It’s a high-impact, hands-on lab where organizations bring their real AI challenges and, over three intensive days, design, prototype, and refine solutions that drive AI integration and change.
This hackathon-style forum is built for action. With guidance from AI experts and facilitators, teams work through a full design iteration cycle—experimenting, testing, and validating strategies in real time. In the forum, partner organizations engage with thought leaders, exchange insights, and push the boundaries of AI implementation.
By the end of the forum, every organization walks away with a tangible prototype or strategy, ready to take back and implement in their own context.
Building on the Success of Last Year
The 2024 edition of the AI Forum brought together 150 participants from organizations across the UN system and beyond. Despite their different missions, many organizations faced strikingly similar AI challenges, underscoring the universal need for practical, scalable AI solutions that drive transformation.

Agenda
The AI Forum agenda is designed to be highly interactive and action-oriented, guiding participants through a full challenge-to-solution journey—from visionary thinking to concrete prototypes.
Day 1: EXPLORE – Unpacking AI Challenges and Opportunities
Kick off with big-picture thinking and strategic foresight. Through keynotes, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, participants will analyze the current and future impact of AI in their organizations. Group work will focus on framing the challenge and identifying opportunities for innovation and transformation.
Day 2: REDEFINE – Designing Practical and Ethical AI Solutions
Shift from vision to actionable solutions. Discussions will center on AI ethics, digital skills, and organizational readiness. Group work will refine ideas into feasible, ethically sound, and scalable concepts, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and real-world constraints.
Day 3: BUILD – Prototyping and Testing AI Solutions
A full day of hands-on development. Teams will prototype, test, and iterate their AI-driven solutions, whether through AI-powered tools, frameworks, or strategic implementation plans. By the end of the forum, each team will have a tangible outcome ready for further development and deployment.
AI Share Fair & Exhibition
The Share Fair will showcase innovative, practical AI-driven solutions from private sectors companies and organizations. Participants will engage with emerging AI tools, platforms, and strategies, exchanging insights on how these technologies can be adapted and implemented within their own contexts.
Complementing the Share Fair, the AI Exhibition will critically examine how machine vision and algorithmic biases shape our perception of reality. Featuring interactive installations designed by emerging interaction designers, the exhibition will reveal the non-human gaze of AI, exposing the complexities and biases embedded in AI-generated images and classifications. This thought-provoking space will challenge participants to reflect on the impact of AI beyond its functional applications, exploring its ethical, social, and artistic dimensions.
