The Centre has just signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the European University Institute (EUI). The EUI is an international postgraduate and post-doctoral teaching and research institute established by European Union member states to contribute to cultural and scientific development in the social sciences, with a European perspective.
Established in 1972 near Florence, the EUI draws on a EU-wide network of 1,100 academic and administrative staff members, and offers research and learning opportunities at PhD, post-doctoral, master’s and executive training levels.
The partnership between the two institutions is intended to create space for joint projects and ventures, building on each other’s strengths: the unique hands-on approach of the ITCILO, and its global outreach to policy-makers, and the top-notch international research capacity and academic excellence of the EUI in the fields of the social sciences and transnational governance.
