Integrated capacity building for social justice through decent work
This initiative provides training and services to ILO constituents to deal with key cross-cutting topics and foster policy coherence and coordination.
Launched at the beginning of 2024, the Catalyst initiative aligns with ILO’s 2024-2025 Programme and Budget’s Outcome 8 “Integrated policy and institutional responses for social justice through decent work”, which emphasizes policy coherence and coordination in support of key priority areas that cut across ILO’s mandate and act as enablers in support of ITCILO programmes.
Catalyst drives and supports initiatives that integrate expertise, leverage synergies, and embrace collaborative modalities in the scope of the cross-cutting topics of the Global Coalition for Social Justice and of the four ILO Priority Action Programmes.
These programmes tackle challenges and opportunities in promoting social justice through decent work, addressing transitions from the informal to the formal economy, just transitions towards environmentally sustainable economies and societies, decent work in supply chains and decent work for crisis response.
Catalyst works to identify and formulate multi-disciplinary proposals, support the mobilization of resources and promote innovation for capacity development with its partners.
