Social protection, labour inspection and labour administration Programme Officer

Olena Vazhynska, from Ukraine, is an international lawyer, she has been with the ILO since 2014, working on labour issues across various departments. With extensive experience in training and capacity building, Olena has worked with countries in Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Africa, and Asia-Pacific, promoting international labour standards and social protections globally.

Education

She pursued her education at various renowned European universities, including the Istituto Universitario di Studi Superiori in Pavia (2013-2014), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Università di Bologna (2011-2012), and L'Université de Haute-Alsace (2010-2011). Her academic journey began at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (2006-2010).

Experience

Olena is the social protection, labour inspection and labour administration Programme Officer at the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO). She has experience in designing and implementing training and capacity building activities having worked at the Turin Centre since 2017 as well as in both private and public sectors prior to her service at the ILO.
