Introduction to the course

The Orange Economy Academy addresses labour challenges in creative and cultural industries, promoting decent work in digital media, arts, design, tourism, and journalism. It explores strategies for fair compensation, social protection, and workers' rights, fostering sustainable growth while prioritizing quality employment. Participants will gain insights into supporting creative workers and enterprises, balancing innovation with labour standards, and leveraging the sector's potential for inclusive economic development.

Event Methodology

The workshop uses future-foresight methodology and follows a three-day structured approach:

  • Day 1: INSPIRATION

Common reflection and plenary sessions exploring global trends in the Culture and Creative Economy.

  • Day 2: SECTORAL DEEP DIVE

Participants work with experts in their specific industry (Music, Media, Entertainment, Arts, Live performance, Crafts, Gaming etc.) to identify trends and develop future pathways.

  • Day 3: CONVERGENCE

Integration of insights and development of actionable strategies for the future of Culture and Creative Economy.

The methodology is designed to foster active participation and incorporate cutting-edge technology in learning, leading to both a comprehensive briefing note and the creation of an international expert network.
