Globally, workers are reporting that incidents of violence and harassment in the workplace are becoming increasingly frequent. Reports indicate that women and young people are more exposed to this phenomenon. This course aims to develop the capacities of trade unions to understand and use ILO Conventions and other international instruments dealing with workplace violence and harassment, focussing on the new Convention 190 and its Recommendation 206. Participants will become familiar with the latest ILO discussions and developments in standard-setting processes on violence and harassment in the world of work. The course will develop and enhance trade-union actions, strategies and policies. By undertaking this training, participants will be assisted in developing the tools and mechanism required for addressing violence and harassment at the workplace.

The course targets policy-makers, education officers, and female and youth trade-union officers and activists under 45 years of age.
