Trade and investment are key drivers in achieving sustainable development in Africa. How can trade unions leverage their role in sustainable development to ensure the inclusion of decent work, International Labour Standards and social justice in trade and investment agreements? This course strengthens trade unions' capacities to promote and advocate for labour provisions and decent work in these agreements. It will equip trade unions with knowledge and requisite tools to build and sustain a robust worker representation capable of effectively influencing policy on trade and investment agreements. Particular reference will be made to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
