In today's interconnected world, where commerce transcends borders and sustainability is at the forefront of global priorities, understanding the intricate relationship between trade, labour, the environment, and global value chains is essential. The training course Trade, Labour, Environment, and Sustainable Global Value Chains equips participants with the tools to navigate this dynamic and complex landscape.
This intensive one-week programme provides a highly engaging learning journey, blending expert insights with practical applications. Through interactive discussions, real-world case studies, and group workshops, participants will examine key issues such as ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards, the link between International Labour Standards and trade, the financial role of multilateral development banks in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the impact of sustainability and technology within the WTO framework. The course also focuses on the legal approaches needed to address the challenges of modern global value chains.
Taking place in the collaborative environment of the ITCILO Campus in Turin, this programme offers unparalleled opportunities for dialogue and knowledge exchange with professionals from diverse sectors worldwide. Methodology
This immersive one-week programme, delivered on-site at the ITCILO Campus in Turin, encourages active participation and peer collaboration. Sessions run from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, combining theoretical inputs with practical exercises to foster a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.

The participation fee, excluding international travel costs, is EUR 2,545, payable in advance by the participant or their sponsoring organisation. This fee covers tuition, access to the eCampus platform, use of training facilities and support services, course materials, accommodation and full board at the Centre’s Campus, and emergency medical insurance.
