Présentation du cours

In June 2022, the International Labour Conference, at its 110th Session, adopted the resolution on the inclusion of a "safe and healthy working environment" in the framework of the ILO's fundamental principles and rights at work. The fundamental Conventions on occupational safety and health, Convention No. 155 and Convention No. 187, will play a leading role in the strategy and guide its implementation, with the aim of supporting constituents in promoting, respecting and realizing the right to a safe and healthy working environment and building a culture of prevention. This course has been designed to support the ratification and implementation of international labour standards on occupational safety and health (OSH), as well as the implementation of specific codes of practice and guidelines. It aims to support the establishment and continuous improvement of national OSH frameworks: including the development of policies and programmes, the establishment and strengthening of national occupational safety and health institutions and tripartite bodies, the review and updating of national legislation, the development of a recording system and reporting systems, the formulation of compliance strategies and the strengthening of the capacities of labour inspectorates, occupational health services, and the integration of OSH concerns into education and vocational training, as well as into national development plans and other national policies and strategies.
