The fellowship will honor a friend of the ITCILO and one of the most important global experts in the field of VET policies and systems
For the second year in a row, the ITCILO will organize a training activity on Apprenticeships in collaboration with the ILO and the European Training Foundation.
This year, the Centre is introducing the Helmut Zelloth Fellowship, created in memory of Helmut Zelloth, a former ETF senior expert in vocational education and training.
Rkia El Mahmoudi (Department of Vocational Training, Morocco) and Olfa Dridi (Ministry of Vocational Training, Tunisia) will be the first two recipients of the Zelloth Fellowships for our skills-related courses.
Helmut Zelloth has been, in his capacity of Senior Specialist in VET Policies and Systems at the European Training Foundation, was a great friend of the ITCILO and has been at the heart of the design of our joint training offers in Career Guidance and Apprenticeships.
One of the most important global experts in this field, Helmut was a never short of a good joke and of a warm and welcoming attitude to people from all around the world. He was a great lover of mountains and a hike with him in the Alps was always full of fun and of intense appreciation of the gifts of nature.
The ITCILO desires to honour the memory of Helmut in the way he would have liked: with a big smile and giving opportunities to individuals from the EU neighbourhood countries to improve their skills at a world-class level.
Servus, Helmut!
