Guillaume Mercier holds a master’s degree in project management from the Université du Québec à Montréal. He has been working for more than fifteen years in the fields of public governance, management of development and institutional capacity development. His experience in those three fields has been acquired through the implementation of consultancy assignments, capacity-building projects and through the organization of various learning activities in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America.
At the ITCILO level, Mr. Mercier is responsible for learning activities aiming at building management capacities of ILO staff and ILO constituents active in development cooperation.
Under the Turin School of Development (TSD), Mr. Mercier is co-director of the Master programme on gouvernance et management des marchés publics en appui au développement durable since 2013. Also as part of the activities of the TSD, Mr. Mercier is, as a senior specialist, member of the Scientific Committee of the Master on Management of Development since 2015.
