The ACTRAV Regional Workers' Academy for Latin America and the Caribbean provides a learning programme for trade unionist involved in collective bargaining process on wage and income promotion policies that ensure a fair share for all in the fruits of progress and a living wage for all employees in need of such protection. Collective bargaining and social dialogue are essential tools for wage determination, and will therefore form the backbone of this activity. It will be particularly important to have empirical data on minimum wages, pay structures in both the public and private sectors, and at both sectoral and national level, wage bargaining and gender pay gaps.
