The EOSH course includes a suite of 29 modules covering a selection of themes and topics that promote a general culture of health and safety at work, as well as specific risks and issues. It includes:
The 29 modules are offered in an engaging and interactive online format, where users can have a dynamic learning experience, with online activities, videos, and additional resources.
Eye-catching infographics present the content and material with a cutting edge approach, while memory aids & animations make the learning process fresh and playful.
The course features a modular approach, whereby users can select among the 29 modules and create the course to best suit their needs.
The EOSH course is designed to be used from computers, tablets and mobile phones and is always accessible, even with low bandwidth connections.
The EOSH course is flexible and offers a multi-tool suite of modules that cuts across several OSH issues applicable to different sectors of activities and different audiences.
The EOSH course is designed to be easily used by Employers’ and Business Member Organizations (EBMOs) for setting up new innovative training services on OSH for their members and to attract new ones.
The ITCILO can adapt the EOSH course to train other entities and organisations, according to their needs, thus contributing to further the ILO mandate to promote health and safety at the work place. These entities can include companies, ministries, institutions and ILO constituents.
With the EOSH package, EBMOs will be able to launch a service that will benefit them in several ways:
EBMOs that are interested in using the package, they have to build their pool of EOSH trainers.
This is done through a training of trainers (ToT) organized by the ITCILO.
The ITCILO course requires:
Only the successful participants will be certified as EOSH trainers. Once they are certified, they can start organizing EOSH training in the framework of the services of their EBMOs.
The trainers will have the possibility to keep their certification for 3 years, as long as they train at least 15 people a year.
At the end of the 3 years, a refresher course will be organised to renew the certificate.
The certification is valid until there is a tie with the EBMO that sent the trainer to the ITCILO ToT. If the tie with the EBMO is no longer present, the certification is revoked and no more EOSH training sessions can be organized by the trainer in question.
The certified trainers in the EBMOs can organize as many courses on EOSH as needed. They can organize their training as an online or blended course, or just face-to-face, with the possibility to get access to the ITCILO examiniation and EOSH certificate for their participants.
The EOSH training will be activated and delivered to their participants using the ITCILO e-campus platform for the EBMOs.
There are several advantages linked with the use of the EOSH package:
For organisations and entities other than employers and business members' organisations (EBMOs), the ITCILO can customise the EOSH package to train OSH supervisors and line managers in companies, in ministries or any other institution interested in enhancing safety and health at work.
The EOSH training can be delivered online, face-to-face or blended, with the possibility to have a final exam and the ITCILO certificate.
