The ceremony, to be attended by Min. Plen. Luigi Maria Vignali, Director General for Italians Abroad and Migration Policies of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Amb. Gian Lorenzo Cornado, Permanent Representative of Italy to the International Organizations in Geneva, and Professor Gianmaria Ajani, Rector of the University of Turin, is being held at the ITCILO’s Piemonte Conference Centre.

Over the past 20 years, with the involvement of many UN agencies and renowned universities worldwide, and thanks to the support of Compagnia di San Paolo and other sponsors, the School has gradually increased the number of Masters Programmes offered. In 2019, the School will be organizing ten Masters in subjects such as international trade, development management, intellectual property, cultural projects and world heritage, public procurement, labour economics, industrial and employment relations, and health and safety at work.

Since the first course was organized in 1991, more than 2,800 students from all over the world have gained a Master diploma here in Turin.

Ms Juliana Strogan, from Portugal, a former participant in our Master in World Heritage and Cultural Projects for Development, ed. 2015-16, states that: “When I applied for the Master in World Heritage and Cultural Projects for Development, I had high expectations but no idea that it would have such rapid results in my professional life. The quality of the course and the teachers was extraordinary and I received much more than I expected. Solid theory and much practice. During the last month of the residential period, I decided to apply for a position at the Rjukan-Notodden World Heritage site. At all phases of the recruitment process, I kept using everything I had learned on the Master course. In the end I got the job, and today I am using the knowledge I acquired to preserve and develop this site.”
