Leif Villadsen

Leif Villadsen is the Acting Director and Deputy Director of the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI). With over 20 years of UN experience across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe, he has led programmes on criminal justice, crime prevention, counter-terrorism, and drug control. His work focuses on strengthening international cooperation, addressing organized crime, and promoting responsible use of emerging technologies. Mr. Villadsen also teaches in UNICRI’s LL.M. in Transnational Crime and Justice and leads strategic planning to address evolving global crime and justice challenges.
