The ILO's International Labour Standards are a critical component of responsible business conduct (RBC) and human rights due diligence (HRDD). To respect workers' rights in their operations and supply chains, it is essential that companies have a solid understanding of these rights. This course provides participants with the expertise, tools and knowledge required for effective labour rights related HRDD.

- Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, including the fundamental right to a safe and healthy working environment
- Conditions of work, including working hours and wages
- A comparative overview of leading international frameworks such as the ILO MNE Declaration, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the UN Global Compact
- Best practices in human rights due diligence by companies from different geographical, sectoral, and operational contexts
What will I be able to do?
Participants advise and lead businesses and institutions toward integrated labour rightsrelated due diligence frameworks.
- Analyse international corporate social responsibility instruments and frameworks through the lens of the International Labour Standards
- Optimize your organizational or company level HRDD processes to promote and respect workers rights in your own operations and supply chains
- Access ILO database, tools and resources
