Today, the ITCILO Alumni Network connects professionals worldwide, celebrating a legacy of learning and growth through a newly-launched digital platform for its global community of alumni.

The ITCILO Alumni Network is an exclusive online space that brings together thousands of graduates who have completed ITCILO’s training programs. Built on cutting-edge digital credential technology, the platform offers alumni the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and grow their careers within a global network of certified professionals. With over 1,500 members joining the platform in the first month alone and 4,300 alumni proudly sharing their digital badges on LinkedIn, this network continues to grow, further connecting the ITCILO community of over 39,000 professionals who have been certified by the Centre since September 2020.

  • Searchable Profiles: Make your profile visible to employers and recruiters seeking qualified professionals. You can highlight your certifications, employment history, and areas of expertise. 

  • Credential Showcase: Your profile automatically displays a timeline of your ITCILO certifications, drawing directly from our digital credentials database, ensuring your achievements are front and center.

How to Join the ITCILO Alumni Network

Joining the network is simple and seamless. If you are a recipient of at least one certificate of an ITCILO tutor-based course, and have received the ITCILO Alumni Membership badge, follow these easy steps to opt in and become a part of our global alumni community: 

1. Open Your Membership Badge Email: Click the link in your ITCILO Alumni Network Membership email to view your digital badge. 

2. Confirm Eligibility: A pop-up will confirm your eligibility for the Alumni Network. If eligible, proceed.

3. Sign In and Edit Your Profile: Sign in using the email address that received your credential. Set your profile visibility to “Visible” in the Directory Profiles section.  

Alternatively, you can go to https://alumni.itcilo.org/, sign in and follow the same steps. 

4. Complete Your Profile: Populate your profile with your certifications, employment history, areas of expertise, and social media links. The more detailed your profile, the easier it will be to connect with others and be discovered by employers. 

For your profile to be visible in the results of the Alumni Network search, you must have at least one public eligible credential and have your profile set to publicly visible.

Frequently Asked Questions

To further assist you in joining and making the most of the ITCILO Alumni Network, we've prepared a comprehensive FAQ section. 

To receive an Alumni Network Membership digital badge, you should have completed at least one tutor-based course offered by the ITCILO and received a digital ITCILO certificate of participation, achievement, or an ITCILO Diploma. 

All recipients of ITCILO certificates since September 2020 have been invited to join the network via receiving the digital membership badge. If you have not received your membership badge, first check your inbox and spam/junk folders for an email from ITCILO Credentials (credentials@itcilo.org) with a subject that starts with your name followed by ", Congratulations on Your ITCILO Alumni Network Membership Badge!". If you can not find it, write to tdir@itcilo.org. Our team will check the status of your membership and will get back to you.

If you received an ITCILO certificate before September 2020 in physical or PDF formats, and would like to join the network, write to tdir@itcilo.org  and attach a copy of your certificate. We will get back to you with more information on the way forward.

1. Open your Alumni Membership digital badge delivery email and follow the link to your credential. The link the delivery email will only sign you into the digital credential the first time it is used. Following this, you will need to sign in. 

2. You will see a pop-up that confirms your eligibility for joining the network.

3.  Click the 'Edit My Profile' link that you might find at the top of the page.

4. Here you will see the option to edit your profile visibility. Click 'Edit' and switch the setting from 'Hidden' to 'Visible', before selecting 'Save visibility'.

Note: Alternatively, you can go to https://alumni.itcilo.org/, sign-in and follow the same steps.

Make sure that you are signed-in. Your email address should be the same email address to which the Alumni Membership digital badge delivery email was sent. Your account is hidden by default. To make it visible, in the "Directory Profiles" section of your Account Settings, you will see the option to edit your profile visibility. Click 'Edit' and switch the setting from 'Hidden' to 'Visible', before selecting 'Save visibility'.

1. The email address that you should use for signing-in should be the same email address to which the Alumni Membership digital badge delivery email was sent. It is also the same address at which you have received your previous digital certificates from ITCILO.

2. Similarly, the password should be the same one you used for your previous digital certificates. 

3. If you have forgotten the password for your ITCILO digtial certificates dashboard, use the 'Forgot your password?' function and follow the prompts to issue yourself a new password.

Follow the steps below to ensure your directory profile is complete:

1. After logging-in, click on your name in the top right-hand corner of the credential view, followed by 'Account settings'.

2. You will be taken to the 'Personal Information' page.

3. Populate the 'Profile' section:

  • Change the display name for your directory profile
  • Upload a photo or avatar image that will be displayed along with your information
  • Provide your LinkedIn profile URL, and your Twitter handle to help direct prospective employers or stakeholders to your social media pages.

4. Populate the 'Details' section:

  • Provide your location to inform prospective employers or stakeholders of where you are in the world.
  • Include a short biography for yourself to present along with your credentials. What are you looking for in your next opportunity? What are you interested in pursuing? Get creative!
  • Select your current availability to indicate to stakeholders what kind of opportunities you are currently looking for Full-time, Part-time, or contract.

5. Populate the 'Work Experience' section:

  • Add work experience items to your profile to present your career journey so far.

6. Select the 'Directory Profiles' option from the menu on the left-hand side.

7. Populate the 'Additional Information' section.

8. Once you are satisfied with the information you have inputted, click 'View my directory profile' to see your profile live in the directory.

IMPORTANT NOTE: For your profile to be visible in the results of the directory search you must have at least one public eligible credential and have your profile set to publicly visible.

Your Alumni membership badge is your digital key to unlock your access to the exclusive ITCILO Alumni Network. You can share your membership badge on social media to showcase your achievement. In your badge delivery email, you will receive detailed instructions on how to join the network, and make your profile public.

The ITCILO Alumni Network is continuously expanding. Former participants and graduates from before 2020 are gradually being invited to join the platform, ensuring that our community continues to grow and thrive.
