The course is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the role of labour inspectors in ensuring compliance with national labour law. Participants will be able to examine the key considerations for efficient labour inspection policy, including a coherent institutional capacity development approach, as well as to explore further the role of the monitoring, control and evaluation for further improvement of the performance of the labour inspection. The course also provides an opportunity to explore such aspects as cooperation and partnerships to support labour inspection in its different functions. A specific focus is placed on the needs of vulnerable groups of workers as well as the enforcement of gender-related principles and rights at work.
